Gardening in Stilettos
I had the pleasure of participating in  another wonderful celebration this weekend...40th birthday party for a dear friend.

We danced, we laughed, we simply had fun and most importantly another year of life was celebrated for someone close to my heart!

When I spoke with him the day after I told him you know when you are becoming seasoned professionals in this thing called life when you are no longer celebrating with friends for 21st, 25th, and 30th birthdays...we just shared a laugh and gave thanks for being blessed with life in each passing day!

One of the greatest pleasures in life is sharing it with family/friends and celebrating all the things along the way.

Have a blessed day!!!
As a lover of learning and exploration, I couldn't resist going to check out this performance when a friend ask me to attend. Very interesting....
The Saartjie Project has garnered international attention for its boundary-stretching stage presentation that explores the mysticism, paradoxes and complexities surrounding the black female body.

Saartjie (pronounced Sar-kay) Baartman - was the South African woman paraded around Europe under the showname,"Hottentot Venus". She was caged to show off her large buttocks, dissected upon her death and placed in a museum. Founding Producer Jessica Solomon explains, "We are extremely excited about the production and are committed to using art as a catalyst of self-expression, self-definition and healing. This is not a performance to missed!"
This halloween I indulged in a Kegbus Wine Tour through Warren, VA and found some wonderful red wines that were tantilizing to the palate.
